the takesumi detox^® method is a proven underarm practice that uses the power of activated charcoal in a two-step system to transform natural deodorant into extra-strength protection. Together, these two products mask the effects of deodorant detox' and help keep you fresh and odorless throughout the day.

Step 1: the underarm bar

Use the underarm bar in the shower every morning before deodorant application. To maximize the bacteria-eliminating power of the charcoal bar soap, lather the bar and then massage in the underarm area for 20 to 30 seconds on each side.
If you have underarm hair, massage for 30 seconds. For best results, let the rich lather sit on the underarms for a while before rinsing off.

Step 2: the charcoal deodorant

Apply a generous application of deodorant to clean, dry underarms daily. The charcoal deodorant is 2nd step of the takesumi detox® system for excess odor protection.

If you experience excess sweat, we recommend our 3-step takesumi detox® system that includes the sweat powder.

Shower with the underarm bar each morning prior to applying the takesumi detox® charcoal deodorant.

The soap can last anywhere from2-4 months.Remember, it is a natural soap so it should not be left sitting in water.

The soap is now manufactured with triple milled technology, producing a hard bar and eliminating the need for a rope. You can store the bar on any soap dish, or on top of a shower sponge. A shower sponge can easily absorb the charcoal after moistening the bar.

No, the charcoal on the soap will not stain your shower or armpits. For proper storage, place the bar on a soap dish or absorbent loofah/sponge.

The Only Deodorant That Works

I’ve been using the Kaia’s ACV soap and charcoal deodorant for 2 years now and it’s honestly been the only thing that helped with my underarm odor which got out of hand due to changes in my hormones. And I’m the kind of person who, for whatever reason, nothing works on. I’m glad this does. Now I can stop hopelessly searching and stop being embarrassed for something I otherwise have no control over.

Wouldn’t repurchase

The soap helps a bit, but even after a month with using the deodorant, I still smell soon after using it.

Would not order from this company again due to poor customer service

Overall, I think the deodorant from this set is fine - I'm not sure it's "detoxing" in any way, but it's as effective at odor protection as other natural deodorants. I would not feel the need to spend the money and re-purchase.

But I'm more disappointed with the customer service. I also purchased the Powder set, which broke when trying to refill it. I reached out with no response. I posted a public review which immediately got replied to saying they would send me a new product. I reached out to customer service again to see how to arrange, no response. I have not received a replacement and it's been 2 weeks.

They will post replies to make it look like they take product feedback seriously or fix mistakes, but don't follow through with the customer. I purchased direct hoping to support what purports to be a smaller business, but should have bought from a large box store so I could at least get a refund.

Amazing!

I’ve tried sooo many different deodorants, from Dove, to Old Spice, to Native, to Dr. Squatch. Although Old Spice worked well, I knew it had aluminum and I wanted to get away from that. My journey with natural deodorants never really worked with other brands; I could smell my body odor, and felt like I was sweating a lot. Since starting this product, I have been extremely pleased! I can’t smell my BO, which is amazing! And when I feel sweaty, using the sweat powder works great! Couldn’t be happier with my experience!
